All HPL Branches are closed on Sunday, September 6 and Labour Day, Monday, September 7. Bookmobile is off the road. Extended Access is not available. Regular service hours resume on Tuesday, September 8.

The Print on the Go service is not working at all Branches. We aim to fix it as soon as possible.
Starting Thursday, August 27, the Branch has reopened to its regular hours with limited services for a few weeks while construction is paused. The interior construction of a new Makerspace will resume in mid-September. Stay tuned for more updates.

Teen Video Gaming Volunteer
HPL offers opportunities for teens to play video games on Nintendo Switch. Teen Video Gaming Volunteers host sessions and assist with the set-up, take-down and monitoring of gaming equipment as part of the Teen Hub Zone program.
Volunteer Qualifications
- Ages 14-18.
- Tech savvy and comfortable with Nintendo Switch games.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Ability to communicate well with others.
- Works well in a group setting.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Set up and monitor gaming equipment.
- Encourage other teens to participate.
- Ensure gaming controllers are charged.
- Take down equipment at end of program.

Program Locations
September 10, 2026 – June 17, 2027 at:
- Saltfleet Branch – Thursdays 11-1pm – (1 hour shifts, 11am-12pm and 12-1pm)
