City-Wide Outage, Library Service Impacted

HPL is recovering from the City of Hamilton's cybersecurity-related outage, which began Sunday February 25 and continues today, Tuesday December 3. Learn more.

Public computers are available at all branches. JAWS public computers are not available
Printing is available at all branches. Photocopying is available at all branches except for the Concession, Dundas, and Terryberry branches. Scanning is not yet available.
Public Wi-Fi is available at most branches except the Ancaster Branch.
Automatic check-ins are operating.
Makerspace services are available at select locations.

Sherwood Branch

Due to Staff training, the Sherwood Branch has a delayed opening on Monday, September 23 at 10 am. You may visit the Concession or Valley Park Branch for your library needs.

The Sherwood Branch was opened as a storefront in a small plaza on Upper Ottawa Street in November 1966. In 1981, the Branch expanded and eventually moved to a larger and brighter facility in June 1991. Sherwood Branch was most recently renovated in 2010.

The Branch offers materials and programming for children, teens and adults.
