As of July 1st, partner library Members can no longer borrow HPL Express items via Overdrive. More to Borrow partner libraries will be offering Lucky Express (Skip the line) titles to their cardholders only. This will help manage wait times for popular titles. Lucky Express is a collection of in demand titles with a seven-day loan period, available with no wait.
Our partners will still be able to borrow titles from the rest of our collection.

Call for Entries: Hamilton Public Library Valley Park Branch Mural
HAMILTON, ON – May 20, 2021 – HPL Seeks Artists and Juror for Exterior Art Project at New Branch
WHAT:
Hamilton Public Library invites artists to submit proposals for a large (14.62m W x 4.27m H) mural to grace an exterior wall of the new Valley Park Library, 970 Paramount Dr.
Residents in the area are also invited to participate in the selection process. One community representative will be chosen as a juror.
WHO:
Artists and artist-led teams are invited to submit proposals. The winner is awarded $5,000. A short list is created from initial submissions in this two-stage process.
Residents interested in serving as a juror should email their name, email address, phone number and three reasons why they want to be on the jury to vpmural@hpl.ca by June 20, 2021.
WHEN:
The deadline for artists and interested jurors to submit is June 20, 2021, by 11pm.
