Central Library – Digital Microfilm Machines
The digital microfilm machines at Central Library are not working. A single analog machine is available in the Local History and Archives Reading Room. This reader does not support printing. We apologize for the inconvenience and aim to have the digital devices repaired as soon as possible.

Printing Updates
Daily print balances for black and white and colour printing change January 2, 2026. The new daily print balance is 40 cents. Members receive four free black and white copies or two free colour copies.

Valley Park Branch Improvement Project
Update Feb 12, 2020:
The temporary site of the Valley Park Branch, at 1050 Paramount Dr., Unit 12, is now open.
Please use the drop box at the temporary site. The drop box at the former site (970 Paramount Dr.) is now closed, due to construction.
The new Valley Park Branch is expected to be complete by Fall 2021.
“We’re very excited to break ground on our new Valley Park Branch. This is a vibrant, growing community and this new building – with its beautiful reading courtyard and modern programming spaces – will be a gathering space for all to come together to discover, learn and share,” says Paul Takala, Chief Librarian, Hamilton Public Library.
