Family Literacy Day - 25th Anniversary
National Family Literacy Day, also known as Snuggle Up and Read Together Day, is Saturday January 27, 2024. HPL has plenty of Snuggle Up and Read Storytimes to celebrate the 25th anniversary. This year's theme is Let’s have a family party! Make food, sing songs, read stories and play games together to keep the fun going.
You can also register to watch a virtual celebration of National Literacy Day with author and Honorary Chair, Barbara Reid. Barbara will demonstrate how to use clay to create a picture. She will share unique techniques you can use to make different things.
Literacy is the greatest skill a parent and/or caregiver can give to a child. It is the foundation for creativity, expression, lifelong learning and well-being.
